Founders, Hector & Agueda (Abby) Morales; together they dare to share what they know as the “Taste of Miami” –Florida to be with the world.

Miami, is where their story begins over 30 years ago, and after meeting at a music festival in world renowned, Bayfront Park, they are now the parents of 5 and 2 grandchildren.
Together, they crafted Mima’s Cuban Cafe –A Taste of Miami's menu to mimic "lunch or dinner at the Morales residence.''

Their intentions are pretty simple. To open a place where you can enjoy a plate fused with their cultures, from: Agueda’s: Guatemalan to Hector’s: Puerto Rican roots to the city that brought them together: Miami and its inevitably contagious Cuban pizazz.

Via her signature favorites: Whether it's a cafecito, cortadita or colada and a Cubano - the signature pairing of cuban sandwiches, or perhaps a croqueta, followed by a plate of arroz blanco con Frijoles Negros (a taste of Guatemala- Mima's recipe), or Arroz con Guandu

Served with slices of fresh avocado, congri rice, and platanos maduros (fried sweet plantains) – all courtesy of heirloom recipes shared with Abby by childhood Cuban friends and family recipes from Guatemala and Puerto Rico.

Our namesake is honored with a menu filled with a list of her favorite meals that she enjoyed having prepared by her eldest Agueda.
Agueda recalls, Mom wouId wake up and say "Mija haceme mi ropa vieja hoy"
